Microsoft’s answer to Blackberry. If you have a Microsoft Mail server (either Microsoft Exchange or Microsoft Small Business Server) then all the functionality is already built in to push mail, calendar and contacts to your Windows Mobile device.

Windows Mobile provides full bi directional synchronisation. There is occasionally minor configuration changes to the mail server if the functionality has not already been unlocked but the devices can be setup in <5 mins.

There are no additional license costs for Windows Mobile push email you just pay for the data you use.  Some networks will offer an all inclusive package others you pay by the MB. For the majority of users this will cost them <£10 / month on top of their normal contract.

Historically Windows Mobile has suffered against Blackberry by being supplied on large clunky handsets though this changed in the last half of 2008 and a new range of well thought out, user friendly devices have been released with the Windows Mobile operating system.
