Additional agents to cover Mail servers, SQL servers, SharePoint installations, etc... ensure that all your systems are covered. Centralising the backup management reduces the administrative overhead and enables close monitoring as any backup procedure should also include verifying success and testing that data can be restored from your removable media. A blank tape is not much good when you have just lost your main server!
