Business success through IT planning for local legal firm
When a firm of Taunton solicitors was faced with the complex scenario of transferring all its IT structure to a new location, with no interruption to its professional services, followed by a subsequent merger, it knew who to call.
CETSAT Ltd, an IT Business Infrastructure and Strategy company based in Somerset, put together a strategic programme to manage Edmund Bailhache Solicitors’ IT planning in its entirety when the company relocated to a new building in Taunton.
Bruce Leyland of Bailhache Shaw Marsden Solicitors said, “Like many SMEs we had experienced ICT growing pains and knew there was only a small window available to stabilise our ICT systems during our move to new premises. We called in CETSAT which put together a controlled programme of change to update the firm’s server and Internet connectivity prior to the move.”
With this in place, CETSAT project managed the process, working with electrical and telephone system contractors to ensure the relocation of IT systems over a weekend.
Robert Leitch CETSAT Business Development Director said: “We were delighted to form a strategic partnership with Edmund Bailhache Solicitors to ensure that there was a consistency in ICT support that matched the professional service offered by this business. We are very experienced in undertaking this role and making certain that key IT systems and services were managed to deliver a seamless experience.”
Three months later, Edmund Bailhache Solicitors merged with Shaw Marsden to form Bailhache Shaw Marsden. CETSAT planned and implemented the complex integration of their respective IT systems.
Bruce Leyland said, “I am extremely pleased with the speed and efficiency of progress. CETSAT’s forward planning and expert IT strategy has helped to rationalise the integration of the two businesses. The relationship we have with CETSAT is probably one of the most important for our continued development and prosperity.”
