IT Solutions for Muscular Dystrophy Campaign
Somerset-based CETSAT Ltd, a Business Infrastructure and Strategy company was selected by London-based charity Muscular Dystrophy Campaign to re-evaluate and rationalise its Information Technology support structure as well as its ongoing IT business requirements.
Information Technology is a crucial aspect of any Charity. The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign website allows valuable information and advice to be accessed 24/7 by people affected by the conditions, remote support workers, clinicians and advisers. It also offers an important link with the charity’s donors, supporters and indeed journalists.
Having ensured a cost-effective IT solution and external support were in place to meet the Charity’s needs, CETSAT was then called in to move the whole IT system across London to the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign’s new offices at London Bridge. Working seamlessly along side the charity’s in-house team the move took place over a weekend.
Muscular Dystrophy Campaign’s Operations Director, Robert Meadowcroft commented, “It was an incredibly intense weekend. We all logged off at the end of business on Friday and were up and running again on Monday morning. Thanks to CETSAT’s forward-planning and risk assessment everything ran smoothly. The system was down for a minimal amount of time and no-one was adversely affected by the move.”
Meadowcroft continued,”We were so pleased with the move and the previous work done by CETSAT that we decided to retain them as our remote support service. As a Charity there is always a pressure to reduce costs and CETSAT are very aware of this, therefore, we meet regularly to discuss our IT requirements to ensure that we have the most efficient and effective system.”
