We were founded in early 2001 by Durgan Cooper – who remains actively involved in the company as our Director of Security and Cyber Risk. From a small office in the grounds of a Duchy estate in Stoke sub Hamdon, CETSAT began offering IT support to a broad local client base.
The growth years
The company continued to grow quickly. And with the arrival of our current Managing Director, Tim Quayle, in 2004, we began to set our sights further afield. We opened our London office in 2008 and in 2010 acquired a local software development company – diversifying our service offering and welcoming on board its owner Najeeb Sughayer. Najeeb now sits on the CETSAT board as our Commercial Director, and has continued to oversee the running of our software development division.
We outgrew our Somerset office in 2012, moving to new premises in Yeovil. And in 2014 we launched our Information Systems team – under the management of Kate Kirkham – to meet growing demand for small business apps and process automation.
Today – and tomorrow
Having identified a growing market opportunity, our founder Durgan stepped down as Managing Director in 2015, to head up a new IT security team. We’ve recently moved offices in London to facilitate increasing demand for software development and IT support. And through a new strategic partnership with a US-based company, we’re offering a 24/7 helpdesk – providing IT support across continents, borders and time zones.
