CETSAT wins major National Charity contract
CETSAT has recently won a major contract to provide the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign with secure and user friendly IT systems to meet the demands of its employees and supporters.
The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign has a head office based in Clapham, London, and a network of over 88 local branches, care staff and Regional Fundraising Managers throughout the UK. Their President is television sports presenter Sue Barker, and they have an honorary life President, Lord Attenborough. The charity's IT system plays a crucial part in communication of information and successful strategies for growth.
Jimmy Billimoria, the charity's Financial Director said "The decision to work with CETSAT was based on the company's credentials to deliver and manage sophisticated IT systems - not only remotely, but within our budget. CETSAT demonstrate real flexibility and the scope to scale up our charity continues to grow. Their ability to provide real support and demonstrate expertise of both our organisational and supporters' needs was critical."
CETSAT's Managing Director, Durgan Cooper explained "In the world of IT companies can be judged on merit and ability - rather than locality. We are delighted to be ensuring that Muscular Dystrophy Campaign's operational systems are continuously protected, analysed and updated and this can be carried out easily from our offices in Stoke sub Hamdon.
Investors in people
Cetsat have successfully achieved the Investors in People standard.
Durgan Cooper, Managing Director, said: The Investors in People Standard has helped us become a better organised, more open-minded, more successful company.
By the end of 2003 the company was on the verge of sudden growth and Durgan decided that aiming for Investors in People status would provide an excellent structure for internal development.
He added: I felt it was important that, despite growth, we retain the spirit and communication of the single team, with everyone working towards the same goals. I was also keen to introduce a quality system to help maintain and improve our service standards whilst ensuring that CETSAT remains a great place to be.
The Investors in People Standard seemed right for us in every respect. It provided us with a framework to work to and enabled us to put together some best practice processes before we grew even further. At about that time, too, we were beginning to realise how much help we needed in improving our training and planning skills. Since this is a primary focus for IIP, we decided to work towards the Standard in February 2004.
Investor in People is a national Standard, run locally by Business Link Somerset and the Learning and Skills Council. It recognises organisations which demonstrate a long term commitment to developing their workforce at all levels.
CETSAT was presented with its award by Business Link Somerset Managing Director, Brian Archer, who said: This is a tremendous achievement for the team at CETSAT and a great platform for their future development.
Organisations wanting to know more about becoming an Investor in People can contact the Business Link workforce development team on 0845 450 4088.
Hotel Internet
One of Somerset’s premier business hotels can now offer more than just room at the Inn. The Hollies at Bower Hinton now provides all its guests with free wireless and wired Broadband internet access, making it an even popular choice for business visitors to South Somerset.
Local IT Company and Microsoft Certified Partner, CETSAT Ltd, worked with hotel staff to make connections simpler, whilst providing powerful branding opportunities, solving cable management issues, increasing take rates and helping to create a lasting impression with each guest.
Hollies Director, Tom Walsh said "We wanted to offer our guests the chance to be productive in their ‘office away from home’. CETSAT has developed a service that will meet the needs of our hotel guests while enhancing the value of the hotel’s high speed internet service.”
Durgan Cooper, Managing Director of Somerset based CETSAT Ltd told us "High speed internet access is now a prerequisite for hotels, as mobile professionals use hotel rooms as an extension of their office. CETSAT has partnered with the Hollies to provide the hotel with high tech solutions for their guests".
